In 2008, the revised edition of the wiring regulations – BS 7671:2008 Requirements for Electrical Installations was published. Due to the advancement in technology and use of electrical systems more special locations are now described, with additional requirements for safety.
Due to far increased electric shock risk and wear and tear, requirements for special locations are far more complex and in depth.
